Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Camping Van
Converted Mercedes-Benz Sprinter camping vans seem to be a category all their own. There are websites and groups devoted to this van alone. The big draw is that you can expect 18-22 MPG on the turbo-diesel engine, and even use biodiesel fuel if you want to. Their comfortable and safe driving experience is unparalleled. The Mercedes Sprinter is the only van that has a stock 4×4 option from the factory in 2022.

There are always several ways you can go to get into the campervan groove.
- Buy a new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter already converted.
- Find and buy a used campervan and maybe remodel.
- Buy a cargo van to convert yourself, or have someone help you convert it.
Buying a New Converted Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Campervan
Buying a new Sprinter campervan conversion is the fastest way to get you where you want to be, enjoying the big wide world from the comfort and luxury of your camper van. But you’ll pay a premium price. Many of these converted Sprinters cost more than my house and are filled with upgrades I didn’t even know I wanted, nor do I want to live without.
There are many companies who do these luxury Sprinter camper van conversions. You can see them paraded on YouTube® endlessly. And they are very nice. These folks have already made their mistakes and adjusted their conversions to overcome accordingly. You’ll see them explain how they had to have the suspension reinforced to withstand the extra weight. They’ve also worked out the bugs from the solar energy system and incorporated features like Starlink internet.
Buying a pre-converted Sprinter campervan is a great way to go if you do not have the skill or desire to DIY.
Buying a Used Sprinter Campervan
Buying a used Mercedes-Benz Sprinter campervan can be a great cost-saving strategy.
Sprinters are available on eBay
There are hundreds of Sprinter Vans available on eBay like this camper-conversion with 50k miles. These are not cheap. I saw one that was just the cab and frame, just waiting for the day someone would turn her into a home.
Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans also available at cars.com
Cars.com has well over two thousand Sprinter for sale and ready to be converted. Spend between 40k and 65K for an almost new Sprinter cargo van and customize it to be just the way you want it.
Buy a Cargo Van for a DIY Conversion, or Have Someone Help You Convert It
You can buy a stock Mercedes-Benz Sprinter cargo van with just the options you want for about $65K. Visit mbvans.com and go thru the interview process to create just the right base Sprinter. I found a YouTube® video from Van Land, Exactly How to Order a Sprinter From the Dealership, to be extremely helpful.

Interior Conversion Kits
“The Infinity Mercedes Sprinter 170″ Interior Conversion Haven Kit is the future of Mercedes-Benz Sprinter campervan building. With the Infinity Mercedes Sprinter 170″ Interior Conversion Haven Kit, the days of tortuous trial and error designing, measuring, cutting, fitting, and re-fitting interior parts inside a van are a thing of the past.
Most campervan builders want a beautiful and functional camper van interior design that assembles quickly and efficiently, not a year-long project rife with frustration and seemingly endless challenges. The Infinity Haven Mercedes Sprinter 170″ Interior Conversion Kit will solve those problems instantly, and change the way you build camper vans forever.
Until today, no completely integrated interior van system has ever existed, so every single Mercedes camper van conversion was a unique project requiring a complete fabrication shop, hundreds of tools, and years of expertise in every aspect of building a van (carpentry, cabinet building, solar and electrical, plumbing, upholstery, etc). The end result for the average builder is a massive amount of wasted time and energy. That all ends now.
Infinity Haven Mercedes Sprinter 170″ Interior Conversion Kits
Our Infinity Haven Mercedes Sprinter 170″ Interior Conversion Kits include the camper van interior floor, walls, and ceiling, as well as the cabinetry and accessories that you’ll need to complete your interior conversion. But that’s only the beginning. The absolutely genius part of our Infinity Haven Mercedes Sprinter 170″ Interior Conversion Kit is how all of the other elements of the build are integrated together.
Your entire electrical system fits seamlessly into a cabinet, and your entire water system fits into another. Even the routing and cutouts for your interior ceiling lights are already routed into the ceiling panels. The galley cabinetry fits a large camper van refrigerator, induction cooktop, and a sink with every single precise cutout that is required to fit every component in flawlessly.”
