Portable Air Conditioner Comparison ZeroBreeze VS EcoFlow Wave 2

It’s hot. Record breaking hot. The four hottest days ever recorded were Monday through Thursday of this week. I thought this might be a great time to compare the two actual portable air conditioners making a big splash during this record breaking heat wave.

Pets were enamored of our ZeroBreeze portable air conditioner when they visited our event tent at the Colorado Tiny House Festival and Peoples Tiny House Festival.

ZeroBreeze Mk2 Portable Air Conditioner

ZeroBreeze VS EcoFlow Wave Portable Air Conditioner Comparison
The ZeroBreeze portable air conditioner was originally designed to cool the cab of a semi so the driver could sleep without idling the big diesel truck engine all night. It’s designed to cool 40 to 50 sq.ft. with its 2300 BTU output.

With the ability to run on its battery for 5.6 hours full blast (and longer in eco-mode), it was an instant hit. Overheated festival-goers came up with a lot of other ways to use this revolutionary device. They also work perfectly for camping. Just ask the folks in tents, travel trailers, and RVs. Everyone loves the cooling benefits of these portable air conditioners.

zero breeze

The ZeroBreeze portable air conditioner includes three venting hoses and two duct connection adapters as well as a drain hose and AC adapter/charger. It also includes a remote control.

The optional Power Extension Dock allows you to charge two batteries and run the air conditioner simultaneously. You can clip two batteries to the bottom of the air conditioner for extra run time.

The built in carry handle and elongated shape makes carrying the ZeroBreeze a…breeze. Even with the battery (total weight 28.5 lbs.) it’s easy to carry one handed up a ladder to a roof top tent.

I did a short YouTube® video about it you can view here.

ZeroBreeze offers their own briefcase-style solar panels and a carry case with wheels, handles, and a tow strap.

It’s frequently sale priced and you can use this stackable coupon code for another $100.00* off: TINYLIFE

Uses R134A refrigerant.

Note: ZeroBreeze has a new model coming out soon, the ZeroBreeze Mark 3. It will be the same size but more than 5200 BTU. If you want to be notified when it’s available click this link and enter your email address.

EcoFlow Wave 2 Portable Air Conditioner

EcoFlow Wave
The Wave 2 by EcoFlow is a bit larger than the ZeroBreeze. Because it’s a different shape, it might fit your area better. With 5100 BTU, it can cool an area of ≤ 107.6 ft². So, about twice the cooling power but it draws twice the power too. It also has 6100 BTU heating as well.

It runs quietly (44 dB) in Sleep Mode and up to 8 hours in Eco Mode. EcoFlow has a large assortment of portable power stations, and they would love to create the perfect package deal for you.

Along with the product, EcoFlow supplies a great app for your phone. Control, monitor, and even automate power consumption from afar with the EcoFlow App. The app operates all of the EcoFlow products. It connects via WiFi when at home and Bluetooth out in the field.

They are very excited that it uses a Eco-friendly refrigerant, R290/130 g.

It includes 2 exhaust ducts which connect securely to the included exhaust duct adapters. It comes with an AC power cord which is just a cord because the AC to DC converter is built into the unit instead of being a big block on the power cord like the ZeroBreeze. Because of this, the car charging cord is simpler and less expensive. Just $21.99*

The air conditioner alone is currently priced at $1,299.00* on their websiteWith the battery, as shown in the image it’s $2,099.00*. The battery alone is $899.00*.
