People’s Tiny House Festival

Thank you for stopping by the

Tiny Life Consulting

booth at the

Peoples Tiny House Festival!

Tiny House Festival
Attending a tiny house festival is a great way to see if this lifestyle would be right for you.

Some of you may have taken one look and decided this lifestyle wasn’t for you. A mother of several children may have looked and thought, “Yeah, the six of us are going to need more space.” On the other hand, the traveling nurse already knows this is what she wants. She just needs to find the right kind of tiny.

There are many types of tiny dwellings and many experts willing to help you be successful in the direction you choose to go.

We here at Tiny Life Consulting want to be a valuable source of accurate information whichever direction the tiny life takes you.

Continuing Your Tiny Living Education

This festival may have been your first foray into the tiny lifestyle.  There’s a lot more to learn. We’ve got you covered. Peruse the pages of the Tiny Life Consulting website and bookmark the information that interests you most. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, let us know so we can direct you to the information you need. Our search bar (top right side of desktop view, almost to the bottom of the mobile view) can help you find exactly what you’re looking for.

Does a free 7-day e-course sound good to you?

Free information sounds good to me too. But that’s just the beginning. There are many courses, workshops, and boot camps available from tiny life pioneers. Click on the banner to see them or click the links below:

What’s in a Name?

Tiny Life Consulting doesn’t actually do any consulting. We are a website packed with FREE information. In addition to our almost two hundred pages of free ‘how-to’ instructions, we also show many products and services that we think will make your tiny project better. If you buy one of the suggested products or services through one of our links, we may get a small commission. This is the only way we earn money, and helps us continue to be a valuable asset to your tiny journey.

We’ve gotten to know many of the movers and shakers of the tiny life world. If they have a book, YouTube® video, or training course, we’ve listed it on these pages.

Here are some topics we cover:

Best Off Grid Energy Sources

Permanent Tiny House Foundations

Solar Power for Tiny House

Doing Laundry in a Tiny House

Buying a Used Tiny Home What To Look For

Tiny Houses Where to Start

How to build a tiny house (of course)

How not to build a tiny house.

Best Way to Insulate A Tiny House

Over a Million People Live in RVs

RVs were the original tiny home. Though not built for full-time living, the authorities have chosen for decades to look the other way. Why? People need housing. Now these authorities are changing the laws to allow it.

So far, however, the infrastructure of an RV, travel trailer, or motor home was never designed to operate full-time. RVs need constant maintenance. Their walls are thin and offer little insulation from the cold northern winters or the intensely hot southern summers.

We have a large section of the Tiny Life Consulting website devoted to Full-Time RV living. Here are some pages:

Keeping Your RV Cool This Summer

RV Winter Living How to Prepare

So what’s the draw of a travel trailer or motor home?

They are completely constructed. You can just pay your money and move right in. They are designed to travel. There are literally hundreds of thousands of places to park them. See our page on Full-Time RV Living for more information on things like establishing a ‘domicile’ when you don’t have a permanent address.

Transitioning To The Tiny Life

Shifting your lifestyle from the average 3000 sq/ft house to less than a third or even a tenth of that size requires a considerable adjustment. Going tiny is not as easy as the experts make it sound. It’s a journey. We have the resources for you to be able to make the transition.

Everything in a tiny house must serve multiple purposes. The master bed doubles a a storage area. The living room sofa transforms into bunk beds. We have also found sources for the parts to make your own clever storage furniture.

Finding storage space is quite a feat. We’ve collected many clever ideas.

Did you know a tiny house is not limited to eight feet wide?

Moving a wider tiny home does require a few permits, but we found a way to make this process easy and relatively inexpensive.

Moving wider tiny homes no big deal
