Tiny Life Consulting doesn’t actually do any consulting. We are a website packed with FREE information. In addition to our almost two hundred pages of free ‘how-to’ instructions, we also show many products and services that we think will make your tiny project better. If you buy one of the suggested products or services through one of our links, we may get a small commission. This is the only way we earn money, and helps us continue to be a valuable asset to your tiny journey.

RVs were the original tiny home. Though not built for full-time living, the authorities have chosen for decades to look the other way. Why? People need housing. Now these authorities are changing the laws to allow it.

So far, however, the infrastructure of an RV, travel trailer, or motor home was never designed to operate full-time. RVs need constant maintenance. Their walls are thin and offer little insulation from the cold northern winters or the intensely hot southern summers.

So what’s the draw of a travel trailer or motor home?

They are completely constructed. You can just pay your money and move right in. They are designed to travel. There are literally hundreds of thousands of places to park them. See our page on Full-Time RV Living for more information on things like establishing a ‘domicile’ when you don’t have a permanent address.

Transitioning To The Tiny Life

Shifting your lifestyle from the average 3000 sq/ft house to less than a third or even a tenth of that size requires a considerable adjustment. Going tiny is not as easy as the experts make it sound. It’s a journey. We have the resources for you to be able to make the transition.

Everything in a tiny house must serve multiple purposes. The master bed doubles a a storage area. The living room sofa transforms into bunk beds. We have also found sources for the parts to make your own clever storage furniture.
